Therapy felt useless for the first two months — glad I didn't quit

I almost stopped going after the first handful of sessions because it felt like I was just talking into the void. My therapist asked me to give it until session eight. Somewhere around there things started to click. Just leaving this here for anyone on the edge of giving up too early.
