Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using Meridian. By using this website, you agree to what's below. We've tried to keep it clear and short.

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Meridian is not medical care and not an emergency service.

Nothing on this site is medical advice, therapy, or a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, call NH Rapid Response at 833-710-6477, or call 911 for a life-threatening emergency.

Who we are

Meridian is operated by Meridian Mental Health LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of New Hampshire. In these terms, “Meridian,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Meridian Mental Health LLC.

This website is meridiannh.org. You can reach us any time at contact@meridiannh.org.

Accepting these terms

By accessing or using Meridian, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use the site. If you’re using Meridian on behalf of an organization, you’re agreeing on its behalf.

What Meridian offers

Meridian is a free, online mental health resource platform for New Hampshire residents. It provides:

  • General information and educational content about mental health
  • Clinical screening tools (self-scoring questionnaires) for self-reflection
  • Directories of providers, programs, and community resources
  • Referral information and pointers to services across New Hampshire

These resources are informational. We don’t provide treatment, diagnosis, or clinical services, and using Meridian does not create a therapist–client, physician–patient, or any other professional relationship.

Not medical advice

The content on Meridian — including all articles, guides, and screening tools — is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, not clinical care, and not therapy.

The screening tools on this site (including the EPDS, PHQ-9, GAD-7, and ProQOL) are educational and informational only. They are not diagnostic instruments and cannot tell you whether you have a condition. A score is a starting point for a conversation, not a conclusion. Always consult a qualified health professional about your health, symptoms, and any decisions regarding care. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here.

No accounts, no stored health data

Meridian does not require you to create an account, log in, or register to use its resources and tools.

We do not store your personal health information on our servers. Anything you enter into a screening tool or worksheet stays in your own browser on your device — it is not transmitted to us. See our Privacy Policy for the details.

Using the site responsibly

When you use Meridian, you agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems
  • Copy, scrape, or redistribute site content in ways that infringe our rights or others’ rights
  • Rely on the site as a substitute for professional medical or mental health care

Intellectual property

The design, original written content, and organization of this site are © 2026 Meridian Mental Health LLC, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You’re welcome to view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.

The validated screening instruments referenced on the site — including the EPDS, PHQ-9, GAD-7, and ProQOL — are published research tools created by their respective authors. They are not owned by Meridian. We present them for educational use and credit their sources; all rights remain with their original authors and publishers.

Crisis resources

Meridian lists crisis phone numbers and resources as a convenience, but Meridian is not a crisis service. We do not operate a hotline, monitor messages, or provide emergency response. If you or someone else is in danger, contact the emergency services listed at the top of this page or your local emergency number directly.

Disclaimer of warranties

Meridian is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We work hard to keep listings accurate and current, but we don’t warrant that the site or its content will be complete, accurate, up to date, uninterrupted, or error-free. Your use of the site is at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridian Mental Health LLC and its members, officers, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the site or any content or resource you find through it. This includes decisions made in reliance on information on the site.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes may be noted more prominently. Continuing to use Meridian after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site or these terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire.
