Your privacy

Privacy Policy

You should be able to look for help without worrying about who's watching. Here's the honest, plain-language version of how Meridian handles — and mostly doesn't handle — your information.

Last updated: July 6, 2026

What we don’t collect

  • Your name, email, or contact details — we don't ask for them
  • Your answers to any screening tool, quiz, or worksheet
  • Health information of any kind, on our servers
  • Tracking cookies or advertising identifiers

Who we are

Meridian is operated by Meridian Mental Health LLC. We built this site to help people in New Hampshire find mental health resources — and we designed it so you can do that privately.

Your answers stay on your device

This is the most important thing to know: anything you type into a screening tool or worksheet on Meridian never leaves your device. When you complete something like the EPDS, PHQ-9, GAD-7, or ProQOL, your answers and scores are saved only in your own browser’s local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) so you can come back to them.

We do not send that information to any server. We can’t see it. No one at Meridian ever receives it. There is no personal health information stored on our side, because it never gets to us in the first place.

Because your data lives in your browser, you’re always in control. You can clear it any timeby clearing your browser’s site data, using private/incognito mode, or the “clear” or “reset” option within a tool. If you’re on a shared or public computer, clearing your browser data will remove it.

No accounts, no logins

Meridian doesn’t have user accounts. There’s nothing to sign up for, no password to create, and no registration. You can use everything here without ever telling us who you are.

Cookies and analytics

We don’t use tracking cookies, and we don’t run advertising on Meridian. You won’t be followed around the internet because you visited us.

We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics (such as Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic — for example, how many people visited a page. This measures traffic in totals, not individuals. It is not used to identify you and is not tied to anything you enter into a tool.

We don’t sell or share your data

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. There’s no data-broker relationship here. Since we don’t collect personal or health information in the first place, there’s nothing of that kind for us to sell or share.

Children’s privacy

Meridian is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — and because we don’t collect personal information from anyone, there’s nothing of that kind gathered here.

If you’re under 18, we encourage you to use Meridian together with a parent, guardian, or another trusted adult, especially when it comes to decisions about care.

How the site is hosted

Meridian is hosted on Vercel. Like most websites, standard server logs (such as IP addresses and browser type) may be processed by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site running reliably. This is routine infrastructure data, separate from anything you enter into a tool, and is not used to identify you.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll revise the “last updated” date at the top. Our commitment won’t change: your health information stays in your browser, and we don’t collect it.
