The Compassionate Friends is a national self-help organization offering peer support to families who have lost a child of any age. NH chapters meet in Manchester, Concord, Nashua, and the Seacoast, providing compassionate space for bereaved parents, grandparents, and siblings to share grief and find hope. Meetings are free, open, and facilitated by volunteer members who have experienced child loss. No religious affiliation.
NH area Al-Anon and Alateen groups supporting families and friends of people with alcohol use disorder. Peer-led meetings throughout NH and online. Members share experience, strength, and hope for coping with a loved one's drinking. Free; open to anyone affected by another person's alcohol use.
Suicide prevention organization operating a confidential crisis befriending line and 'Safe Place' peer-led support groups for survivors of suicide loss across NH (Keene, Concord, Exeter, Nashua area, Plymouth, North Conway, and more). Meetings are confidential and open only to survivors.
NH chapter of PSI promoting awareness, education, and treatment of perinatal mental health issues. Connects families to perinatal emotional-support groups across the state, including Portsmouth (Families First), Manchester, Concord (Concord Hospital), and Bedford.
