Private nonprofit serving nearly 3,400 individuals with disabilities in southern NH. The Autism Center provides ABA therapy for individuals on the autism spectrum. Serves Nashua and surrounding communities including Merrimack, Hudson, Milford, and 12 other towns with disability services, ABA therapy, and senior care.
The Autism Society of New Hampshire is the statewide affiliate of the Autism Society of America. Provides information and referral, advocacy, support groups for individuals with autism and their families, and connections to evaluation and treatment providers across NH. The UNH Institute on Disability (IOD) is New Hampshire's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. Conducts research, provides professional training, and delivers community services including information and referral, supported employment, and systems advocacy for individuals with disabilities including autism. Home of the NH LEND program (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities).
NH's Protection and Advocacy organization for people with disabilities, including mental illness and developmental disabilities. Provides legal advocacy, rights education, and systemic advocacy for individuals navigating psychiatric hospitalization, guardianship, SSI/SSDI, housing, and employment. Free services to eligible individuals.
